The MCMS MC File system efficiently handles Mill Test Reports (MTR's) making this time and personnel intensive task much easier and faster. MC File is a comprehensive application that provides MTR imaging tools designed specifically to facilitate the storage and retrieval of MTR's.
Storage & Retrieval
- Scan or import the test report into a computer workstation.
- Cross-reference and retrieve test reports by several criteria including: Heat number, part number, purchase order number, vendor number, manufacturer and date or create your own search by renaming existing fields.
- Print it out to accompany shipping documents or invoices, or fax it directly from the workstation to your customer whenever a test report is required.
- Editing overlay capabilities enable the customization of MTR's, before the test report is delivered to customer.
Integrated or Stand-Alone
- Use MC File either as a stand-alone system, or as an integrated piece of a complete Metal Center Management System (MCMS) solution.
- When integrated with MCMS, sales orders can be flagged when they require test reports, and the MTR's will be printed automatically when the order is shipped, and/or invoiced.
- Eliminate data re-entry, when integrated with MCMS, by automatically connecting critical sort criteria (Heat Number, PO Number, Part, etc.) to a scanned Test Report.
- Request printed or faxed test reports to customers from any terminal in the MCMS system when integrated.
- View MTR's to examine chemical or mechanical specifications from any PC workstation networked to the image server, with optional MC File client software.
Listings
- Produce listings of available test reports by date, part, purchase order, heat number, vendor, and manufacturer. This provides entry edit lists and management reporting.
